For my mid-term internship (6 months) in engineering school, I participated in several Unity projects at DTT Mulimedia in Amsterdam. I mainly worked on the platform game Flip Puzzle in which you solve puzzles flipping through certain types of terrain.
More than a simple game, the goal was also to gather a community around level creation and competition between friends. Today, the game is unfortunately no longer maintained, and the servers have been shut down. At DTT, games are secondary to customer contracts, and my departure was followed by other contracts with higher priority.
Like all the interns in my team, my role was that of a generalist developer:
I touched on a bit of everything, I fixed a lot of bugs and I implemented new features, in particular those removable platforms.
The experience was extremely rewarding, especially with the presence of a competent and diverse people in my team.
